One of my favorite collections of Mexican style. The photography is outstanding. Every now and then I browse this book for beautiful examples of color, contrast, texture and a wonderful sense of Spanish decor. This collection of photos allows the viewer to soak in and really enjoy the magic of surrenity.
This review is about the condition of the book, which does not look like this photo at all. It's a bright green solid color, the Spanish home that appears in the photo. It appears it's missing the cover/sleeve of the book. It's also scuffed all along the bottom of edge of the book. I purchased it for my sister who bought a Spanish home they are renovating in California. However, in this condition it's not an appropriate gift.
Great book! The minute I opened it I knew it was going to be a thrilling trip to another time in California history. Beautiful pictures of grand homes, grounds, and other structures built with Spanish and Mexican influence. If you want just one book covering this subject, this would be the one to buy. Highly recommend.

A well illustrated book, has a lot of great ideas for this type of architecture, a good buy. Highly recommend it.
An excellent coffee table book and conversation piece!
I enjoyed this book but it was 1st published in 1996 so it is a little dated. I think Diane Keatons book is probably more current
