It was a real joy reading this book. I read this from cover to cover in three sittings. The presence and peace of God flooded me as I read. The book explains a lot that I am still due to walk in and do in ministry. It is a great, insightful, detailed book that I can see myself returning to again and again. This book is an excellent resource for any Christian. It does discuss about being a Seer in the book, but the vast majority of the book is information valuable for all Christians. The author includes prophetic experinces, testamonies, anointing, and Sonship. He also spends time discussing humility, love, faith amd the Holy Spirit. I recommend this book to every Christian. What James Maloney mentiuons about the Seer he expalins easily for the average reader to understand. He does use some personalized terms and gives you the meaning right after.

Great book on the operation of the prophetic anointing and well balanced in it's presentation.

I really enjoyed this book! There has been so much 'weird' about prophets and mystical experiences. James Maloney gives some clues on how gifted prophets (and those just pressing into the more than enough) can stay 'connected' to the foundations of their faith and the true source of revelation. Clues on how to avoid some of the pitfalls of 'unknowingly' moving in the power of witchcraft - which can sometimes be a thin line! Staying out of the 2nd heavenly realm for revelation and pursuing revelation from the 3rd heavenly realm, whilst moving in the supernatural. I learned much and had much confirmed. A great tool for those who know what I am talking about when they read this !!!

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I am only about a third of the way through. So far, Maloney describes some of his latest supernatural interactions with God. I find it faith-building to read accounts of God allowing the author to co-labor with Him to heal people spiritually, emotionally and physically. I appreciate how he spells out the Biblical principles that he believes are key to positioning ourselves to receive more of the prophetic-healing annointing. He definitely believes that what he is experiencing with the Lord is what God wants to activate on a larger scale within the Body of Christ. The first chapter would be especially helpful for individuals interested in the concepts of the "communion of saints" and the possibility of being able to minister through the Holy Spirit so that we literally do/say what Jesus would do/say. I ordered this book after a very positive review from a friend, so I am confident that the rest of it will be just as incredible!

The days of slumber are no more! people are being re-vived and this next generation will pass on a "vive" with no need to "re" anything. If this book does not excite you, you need to check your spiritual pulse, get on your knees, and cry out to God asking for Him to wake you up!!! so you can see Him as He truly is, a good Father who loves to give His children good gifts. In spare and luminous prose, Wen brings to life the life of Marcel Marceau, a man, a mime, an entertainer who seems to have lived an outsize life driven by a desire to be bigger and better than any other mime. I think like most people that the subject of Marceau and mimes isn't one that would capture my attention. So it is to Wen's credit that I was invested--and invested through the cataloging of details, that again on its surface seems like simply a list of objects and items, but in Wen's hands illuminates the life of her subject and adds to the mystery of what drove this man.

For any Marcel Marceau fan, this book is a quick and interesting read.

As a mime myself -- with Marcel Marceau as a part of my lineage of teachers -- I struggle sometimes to talk about how it works. But Shawn Wen does a masterful job. She says things like “This is a part of Marceau’s vocabulary,” using terms of language to describe his art form. In the process, she also reveals how unique and brilliant Marceau was.He was a man interested in everything -- art, history, people, culture, psychology, and more. His work was an expression of that, as a silent observer of the human condition. Wen also pointed out something that I had not considered, too: that Marceau’s silence was partly a response to his experience of fleeing from the Holocaust (and changing his name). In other words, he was reporting on the human condition, with the constraint of being silenced. The political and social dimensions of the essay were unexpected and memorable.That said, this biography (if that’s even the right genre label) is not a glowing one. The author had her own lines of inquiry about the nature of pursuing art and being in the world. She did not set out to make Marceau look perfect, and indeed he wasn’t. She did, however, bring the attention of her readers to a subject worthy of attention. Ask yourself, what creative legacy are you leaving the world? How have your experiences formed that creation? When pursuing something, how disciplined will you be?All told, if you are interested in a good essay that will provoke interesting questions, this is worth your time. If like me, you are a student of mime or theatre, then a bit of the history of one of the masters is a great addition to your shelf.

If you were an editor or lit agent and someone pitched you a "meditation" on the life and work of Marcel Marceau, you would have to ask for pages just to see if the author could pull it off. Well, Ms. Wen more than pulls it off, she hits it out of the ball park. (The real kind, not the imaginary mime kind.) Using terse yet poetic language, even her cataloging of Marceau's extensive collections shine. She makes fascinating the roots of mime in la commedia dell'arte, brings life to Marceau's performance -- imagine this feat, transcribing a mime performance.Wen's book defies format definition or easy categorization. It mixes poetry, essay, documentary, and biography. All at once. No doubt her work writing for public radio has informed her writing for the page in interesting and fortuitous ways.At the time of this review, she appears to be reading around the country. I have not seen her read but look forward to the next chance I get.

This is an excellent book. Not just for the obvious reasons of being one of the first publications to juxtapose contemporary art with its influential hip hop, but because the artwork is amazing. Much of the artwork is cutting-edge and new. I discovered many new artists that moved me. I even purchased a piece by the artist on the cover, Marcus Jansen, who is on the rise.

This is a must read.What an amazing correlation...an excellent piece of Visual Art. I purchased an electronic version. However, I am going to purchase a hard copy for my coffee table

A wonderful work of music and art history, giving full cultural context to both classic songs and and amazing variety of visual art. Beautifully conceived... there are great, full-color artworks on virtually every page of this book, with the text as a perfect complement This may not be what you assume when you hear the words "Contemporary Art" with it's artspeak and theory... this is vibrant, humanist work, urban life depicted with amazing imagination and dazzling skill. Anyone questioning the relevance of painting in a technological age will have their answer here. Painters like Tim Okamura and Marcus Jansen are among the best I've seen working today, keeping that ancient art form alive. The images are in perfect relation to the music analysis, which is a revelation to me, a deep exploration of the music and culture of hip hop that could otherwise seem daunting to readers not steeped in it. Many voices are given a chance to speak here, and it's that personal touch and response that also brings this book to life. The author interviewers Dawud Knuckles, Danny Simmons, and Russell Simmons bring tremendous knowledge and historical perspective to this story of truly living art forms.

I originally did not know what to expect from the book but a friend of mine told me to check it out. I must say it is a really good read. It holds your interest with multiple aspects. It introduces a hip-hop song and breaks it down from an educated perspective on what it means and the positive points and/or the reasons why an artist is expressing a particular point or theme. Then you have some great fine art along side to show music can be art as well. And some pieces of art that express what you hear in the song.Highly recommended.

I got the book as a gift and first just placed it in my coffee table because it had really great cover art, and there it sat until the cable froze one yesterday!! while waiting for the 75 hour reboot i picked it up and Im happy I did the book really did a great job of bridging art and hip hop it was insightful and fun. It was a great and interesting read !! and considering the last book i read was probably Moby Dick in the 7th grade its saying a lot that i didnt put this down ! i would certainly recommend it and am buying 2 as gifts.

This is a great book. Its well put together and a genius idea! I wish i thought of this idea first! I definitely understand what art is suppose to do. I recommend this book for any one who appreciates good hip hop and art. The author interview with Russell and Danny Simmons was interesting. The art work is amazing and it has some of the greatest music and visual artist. This book is amazing ...i love hip hop but now i have i new love for visual art! I cant wait to see what else stems from this!

Eric R. Kandel is University Professor and Kavli Professor at Columbia University and a Senior Investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Kandel is founding director of the Center for Neurobiology and Behavior at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University, and recipient of the 2000 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his work on memory storage in the brain. He is the author of In Search of Memory, a memoir that won a Los Angeles Times Book Award, and co-author of Principles of Neural Science, the standard textbook in the field. He was born in Vienna and lives in New York with his wife, Denise.

I found the first part of this book very interesting. It described two fascinating movements, developing in parallel and interacting with one another to some extent (including in ways not visible at the time), in Vienna at the start of the 20th century: one in medicine, especially psychology, headed by Sigmund Freud, and the other in art, headed by Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, and Oskar Kokoschka. I would have loved to pursue these developments and know more about the culture that spawned them.After that, however, the book takes an abrupt turn into brain biology—not surprising, in fairness, since author Kandel is a Nobel Prize-winning expert in neurobiology—and there it stays. First, Kandel examines exhaustively how the brain processes visual information to create what we think of as reality. (Obviously the other senses contribute to that picture as well, but Kandel does not discuss them.) He then builds on this to consider how the brains of viewers react to art, and he shows how Klimt, Schiele, and Kokoschka, among others, instinctively drew on those hard-wired patterns to make viewers respond emotionally to their work.How much you like this book will depend on how interested you are in that subject matter. Kandel explains his material clearly and is not overly technical; I believe that the book would be understandable to anyone who is used to doing science reading at the level of, say, Discover magazine or maybe Scientific American. However, I found it very dry, lacking the description of personalities and milieu that made the first part so intriguing. Somewhere in part 2 (of five) I gave up, concluding, as an apocryphal little boy is supposed to have said of a child’s science book that he got as a Christmas present: “It told me more about penguins than I wanted to know.”

I am a retired historian, sociologist and philosopher of science who has followed the work of Eric Kandel since 1984, beginning with a sabbatical year attending the neuroscience lectures of Kandel and his colleagues in the basic medical course offered at the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons., and subsequently sitting in on the graduate course on neurobiology and behavior offered in his department.This is an excellent, but surprising, book. Its excellence has been documented by the many reviewers who agree with my five star rating. On the other hand, I would argue that a number of the book's negative reviews were written by persons who overlooked its very significant surprises, clearly stated in the book's closing chapter.Foremost among these is a very clear rejection of that form of reductionism known as eliminative materialism; the view that the "mentalese" vocabulary of folk psychology is fated to be replaced by the lexicon of a "mature neuroscience.""For every parent discipline such as psychology, the study of behavior, there is a more fundamental field, an anti-discipline -- in this case, brain science – that challenges the precision of the methods and claims of the parent discipline. Typically, however, the anti-discipline is too narrow to provide the more coherent framework or the richer paradigm needed to usurp the role of the parent discipline, whether it be psychology, ethics or law. The parent discipline is larger in scope and deeper in content and therefore cannot be wholly reduced to the anti-discipline, although it ends up incorporating the anti-discipline and benefitting from it. This is what is happening in the merger of cognitive psychology, the science of mind and neural science, the science of the brain, to give rise to a new science of mind.” p. 505Further, whereas Kandel, in a personal conversation early in 1985, held to a firm and somewhat threatening distinction of "studies of science" and "studies of scientists," severely denigrating the latter, in 2012, he opens the door for a well-informed sociology of science:"Rather than seeing a unified language and useful set of concepts connecting key ideas in the humanities and the sciences as the inevitable outcome of progress, we should treat the attractive idea of consilience as an attempt to open a discussion between restricted areas of knowledge. In the case of art, these discussions might involve a modern equivalent of (a Viennese salon) … artists, art historians, psychologists, and brain scientists talking with one another … in the context of new academic inter-disciplinary centers at universities." p. 506The passages I've quoted seem to pull the rug out from under many of Kandel's critics. Far from an imperialist neuroscience of art, he seeks to promote a tolerant conversation involving neuroscientists, artists and historians and philosophers of art.In the spirit of such conversation I might ask Kandel to clarify the nature, and direction, of the vectors of influence connecting Viennese painters at the turn of the 20th century and Harvard neuroscientists in the decades following WWII.

I was amazed to find a book that brought together - and updated - some of my oldest fascinations: the birth of depth psychology and the explosion of expressionist art in fin de siècle Vienna. In this brilliant synthesis, Kandel includes an introduction to the recent advances of cognitive neuroscience as related to both the perception of modern art and what it says about our brains. I discovered all of these things in college in the mid-1970s and was astonished at how the fields had changed and in a sense, came closer. For the reader interested in these disciplines, I cannot imagine a better book.Given the number of disciplines, the book goes in many directions. First, there is the historical context of 1900 Vienna: a cosmopolitan capital that was more or less welcoming to all the nationalities and religious groups. Though a major city, the intelligentsia was surprisingly close knit, even across disciplines. There were major salons where Freud could have met novelists and artists such as Klimt. According to Kandel, their works and interests were convergent.Second, there was psychoanalysis, which focused on the unconscious as a major factor in mental health as an aspect of the brain. Freud was, Kandel says, applying the scientific methodology under development at U Vienna: observe, hypothesize, verify. It was part of the movement to bring medicine into the hard sciences, though Kandel notes that many of Freud's ideas were intuitive speculation and limited by the times and his own inexperience, in particular his misunderstanding of women's sexuality.Third, Viennese artists were exploring the notion of the unconscious in their own way. On the one hand, pushing into new directions because photography had rendered realistic painting redundant, Klimt and then his acolytes Schiele and Kokoschka were experimenting with the portrayal and evocation of strong emotions, essentially inventing the mature form of Expressionism. Following the lead of Van Gogh and Munch, this involved the merging of Mannerism and caricature, with grotesque poses, strong colors, and flat backgrounds of color or design. (Kandel focuses a great deal on Kokoschka, who of the three never appealed to me personally, making a convincing case for his pioneering genius in terms of empathetic art in which the viewer is included.) On the other hand, local writers were experimenting with narrative, bringing the viewer in to participate in their fiction, much as the painters were doing.Fourth, Kandel covers related developments in cognitive neuroscience. The perspective is both historical and scientific. While this was the most difficult section for me, it was in many senses the most rewarding. Developing directly from Freud and his search for unconscious brain function, Kandel takes the reader through gestalt psychology - the ability of the brain to construct an understanding or image of the whole from a limited number of characteristics, as recognized in discreet aspects such as a straight line, color contrast, and ovals of the face. Once imaging techniques were perfected (PET and CAT scans from the late 1970s), detailed neurological maps could be constructed of how brains function in real time. This was a revolution in science that occurred after the elementary studies in psychology that I did in college. For example, consciousness is partially explained by a large number of areas in the brain acting in concert. Kandel also shows how the old Freudian model - of ego, superego, id, etc. - are actually located in a functional, dynamic map of the brain; I had no idea such a thing was possible.The book is not an easy read, but it helps if the reader is acquainted with the artists of the time, modern depth psychology, and the examination of the brain as a purely biological organ. It is at the high undergraduate level. The best thing about the book is that Kandel succeeds in tying it all together and calling for more research in neuroaesthetics. I cannot do justice to the subtlety and erudition of his arguments, but was spell bound throughout the entire book. Furthermore, I can't say that I have a full grasp of cognitive neuroscience, but it enhanced my appreciation for the art of the time and partially explains why all it began in Vienna in 1900. Finally, Kandel recognizes the contribution of Freud and clearly explains the deficiencies of psychoanalysis without going overboard as many critics do.I recommend this book with the greatest enthusiasm. It is a masterpiece of science popularization and art history.

This book is good, but not great. It has the potential to be great, but needs a little more depth. For example, the book has a section on employing family. It even positions this as one of the most important and advantageous strategies. I think this section is about 5 pages and doesn't talk at all about the spouse, only kids. There is sooooo much more to talk about that isn't covered. Sandy Botkin's book is a lot more mature when it comes to tax strategies.This book is strong in general legal guidance which is important. Thus, if you want to do this right, you're going to have to read 3 books: This one, Botkin's book, and Nolo's books about small business taxes (example: Deduct It).Overall, this is a good book and should be required reading. Its a little shallow in places, but still important.

The book teaches you a lot about running your own business without leaving it in the hands of an accountant or attorney. Of course you need those two experts and more but there are things in this book and other books from Mark that not even my accountant told me about. Its definitely an eye opener for new business owners but especially for seasoned owners like myself.

I used to feel fearful and intimidated by this type of information, until I came across Mark Kohler. He explains tax and legal strategies in a way that is not only instructive, but also entertaining. I mean, isn't this stuff supposed to be boring? The fact is, taxes are one of the largest expenses we will ever have, and asset protection is becoming more and more critical in today's legal environment. Thank you, Mark Kohler for showing me that it's not only how much you make, but how much you keep. I not only highly recommend this book, but I also b ought 20 copies because I believe everyone MUST read it.

The Tax and Legal Playbook is well laid out, and thorough. I wouldn't recommend skipping any chapters even if you think you have a firm grasp on each chapter's content.I enjoyed Mark's style of introducing concepts and expanding on them in detail as the book progresses. Whether you're just starting out in a business venture, or have several years under your belt, you can pick this book up and find several strategies that can help you.

A very well written book that covers the basics of legal and tax issues for investors and small business owners. It raised my attention to many details I was not aware of. You definitely should read it before going to your lawyer or tax accountant in order to make better use of your time and money with such professional.

I saw Mark speak twice to two different San Diego investment clubs in the past 8 months or so. The first time was so good I went out of my way to see him a second time at a club that I normally don't attend. He somehow manages to make talking about accounting and tax issues fun and funny, probably because he is comfortable in his own skin, cracks a lot of jokes, and embraces his own inner dorkiness if you will. :) I read his first two books and gleaned quite a bit from them, when I saw that this third books was available, I bought the kindle version the first day and read the brunt of it over a weekend.I think this is his best book to date. He has the ability to take what can be complex subjects and boil them down to the nuts & bolts to get you started. I think many people who get into real estate or start a small business spend so much time thinking about their product, they neglect to look at the tax and legal consequences of various strategies or of, worse, not really having a strategy. In today's litigious environment, it would be insane to do business without the proper protections in place, and Mark does a very good job of explaining the pros and cons of various legal entities and which entities are best suited to which types of businesses.There is a saying by one of the original real estate speakers that if you think education is expensive, just try ignorance. In this case, the $9.99 kindle version price is absurdly cheap for the education he imparts, many of the tips in the book could save you thousands of dollars or even avoid you getting ruined in a lawsuit.I highly recommend this book, especially for those getting started in their own business/real estate who haven't established any asset protection plan. Great stuff!

About the Author

Francis A. Carey is a native of Pennsylvania, educated in the public schools of Philadelphia, at Drexel University (B.S. in chemistry, 1959), and at Penn State (Ph.D. 1963). Following postdoctoral work at Harvard and military service, he was appointed to the chemistry faculty of the University of Virginia in 1966. Prior to retiring in 2000, he regularly taught the two-semester lecture courses in general chemistry and organic chemistry. With his students, Professor Carey has published over forty research papers in synthetic and mechanistic organic chemistry. In addition to this text, he is coauthor (with Robert C. Atkins) of Organic Chemistry: A Brief Course and (with Richard J. Sundberg) of Advanced Organic Chemistry, a two-volume treatment designed for graduate students and advanced undergraduates. He was a member of the Committee of Examiners of The Graduate Record Examination in Chemistry from 1993-2000. Frank and his wife Jill, who is a teacher/director of a preschool and a church organist, are the parents of Andy, Bob, and Bill and the grandparents of Riyad and Ava.

WARNING: Very helpful textbook, but contains A LOT of content so don't be discouraged when it takes you about 1 hour to understand 10 pages of content. The Solutions Manual for Organic Chemistry 8th Edition IS A MUST IF YOU WANT TO ACE ORGO! It helped me obtain a B in Orgo 1, an A in Orgo II, and an A in Orgo II lab (granted my Orgo I professor was the same for my Orgo II class and lab so I understood his teaching techniques better which is key in picking an Orgo class! Consistency in teaching style is key for understanding!) Carey is capable of teaching chemistry using both examples of chemical reactions and written explanations. Chapters are organized in a logical order - very beneficial for one's initial exposure to new functional groups and reaction families. The written text clearly explains the mechanisms behind every reaction, providing a solid understanding of chemical reactivity. Reaction examples clearly show applications of stereo- and regio-chemistry, necessary reagents, and the influence of reaction conditions upon reactivity and reaction yields.I used this book for 3 semesters upper-level undergraduate Organic Chemistry, and as a refresher reference for graduate-level Organic Synthesis, along with Carey's Advanced Organic Chemistry texts, which are equally helpful. Other undergraduate students that were assigned other textbooks have borrowed this book from me and remarked at how much better they were able to understand the material as presented by Carey. This book is B-23 approved!

This book is just what I needed for my Organic Chemistry class. I am rather pleased with the author's writing style and the way the book is laid out. It is already helping me understand concepts that I was missing out on due to my lack of a textbook. Out of everywhere I looked, this was the best deal for buying this book. The international edition textbooks were even more expensive than this one that I purchased. Shipping was a little slow, but well worth it. I am very satisfied!

Okay I am in organic 1 right now and the solutions manual and this book have made me the best student with the highest test scores in my 350 person class. It takes a long time and patience to understand this subject and I am no genius. I spend hours and hours on organic to complete and check all the answers in the back of each chapter. The questions at the back progressively get harder and there are lots of questions. If you do all the questions (which takes hours like I do) then you will make a B or better in the class.

An annoying feature of the book is the way they make you buy the answer book to compliment the book itself. I can understand space is an issue, but that answer book is highly priced itself. Other than that pet peeve this book is fantastic. Nearing the end of my second semester of organic chemistry this book has done its part. Read the book, and you'll do fine. You cannot go wrong by simply reading this book alone and ignoring the teacher since this book covers much more than the teacher can or will ever go over. It's not like you will have much of a choice in the book you want anyways, since most teachers don't give you that freedom, but don't be intimidated by this book since it does its job well.

This book saved me so much money! I needed it for my organic chemistry class and this was the cheapest price I found. Shipping was speedy and the book is in good condition.

I really wish the cheapskates at the publisher's office would include the answer booklet with this textbook. You know, so us little people without tutors could get some self-study.

I love Lucy Worsley and have read quite a few of her biographies. The best thing in my opinion is her easy, breazy writing style infused with intelligent humor...what I took a star off for tho, is her tired choice of the included events - 24 "days" (events) from Victoria's life which have been studied and written about extensively countless times before. I could forgive her that if it weren't for her all-too frequent Prince Albert bashing which is unfair and uncalled for; V loved her husband magnificently and there is much proof of his enormous contribution to England. However, in all it's an interesting book to read for the hungry Victoria fan, or one without much prior knowledge of the main events of her life.

Worsley provides twenty four vignettes in Queen Victoria's life. She adds much material to supplement the chosen significant dates. Nothing earth shattering is revealed but readers do get a better sense of the woman behind the crown. I devour every book about Queen Victoria And reading this book was a pleasure. The author provides an extensive bibliography and notes at the end which were fun to peruse. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

As a thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced reader copy I shall give an honest review of Lucy Worsley’s Queen Victoria: Twenty-Four Days That Changed Her Life. After reading Daisy Goodwin’s VICTORIA, which she based her television series on, I was hooked to the life and time in which Queen Victoria lived. What an extraordinary life she lived, I loved Worsley’s ability to examine the Queen but also reveal the underlaying experiences of Victoria as a woman a head of her time. The biography explores her many roles ex. daughter, wife, and widow. Throughout the biography I enjoyed Worsley’s ability to present information from many historians but also present her conclusions as well. These made the book more tangible and something that kept me reading. One area I found of interest was Victoria’s identity as a widow following the death of Prince Albert. Worsley addresses the current examination in which historians are examining Queen Victoria and present their conclusions as well as her own. I found this made her assumptions more factual and often left you at your own devices developing who Victoria was. The text is academic yet approachable for those that are familiar to Queen Victoria’s story. I enjoyed Worsley’s Jane Austen at Home and enjoyed the personable yet academic approach to Austen’s life. To differentiate biographies and women their biographies are worlds apart and are worth reading. If you have not read a biography on Queen Victoria or seen a film adaptation based on her life then this is not a place to start. The many facts, and occurrences serve to those who need more than an elementary approach to the life of Queen Elizabeth. I recommend this for those who are interested in Queen Victoria, the Victorian era, and would like a thorough look into the many roles she played in her life. I give this book a solid four out of five stars on goodreads.

Dr. Lucy Worsley well known as the Curator of Historical Homes in Great Britain. She has appeared in numerous documentaries on PBS and the BBC exploring England's rich royal past. In this wonderful book she looks at 24 key events in the life of Queen Victoria (1819-1901) who reigned over the British Empire from 1837 to 1901. If you are looking for a somber and dull political history of Victoria's long reign look elsewhere! If instead you prefer a wise and insightful study of Victoria's memorable private life you have picked up the right tome off the shelf! Victoria was fifth in line to the British crown when she was born to the Duke and Duchess of Kent in 1819. She had a complex and at times stormy relationship with her German born mother. Victoria ascended the throne on the death of her Uncle William 1V in 1838. She married her German cousin Albert (1819-1861) on February 10th 1840. He was a good man who was logical but somewhat cold in manner, The couple loved one another though they did have differences as Victoria was very willful and emotional while Albert was much more reserved. The couple produced nine children; Their oldest son Edward (Bertie) born in 1841 reigned as Edward VII from 1901-1910. Worsley opens the door on the wonder of royalty in chapters dealing with the birth of Victoria's parents, her ascension and coronation, childbirth, marriage, views on life and many other aspects of the great queen. This book kept me riveted with her clear writing style and the depth of her research into the life of Queen Victoria. An excellent biography !

I liked this. It was not a comprehensive biography. It featured the 24 most important days in Victoria's life.
