"Broken Flowers" by R.M. Drake is a collection of verse and poetry interwoven with full page pictures and short quotes. This time around, he published with Andrews McMeel Publishing, making the book a little smaller and easier to hold while still maintaining his signature interior and exterior design. As for content, the blurb across media states the collection "meditates on the subtle beauty of brokenness." I would say it does much more than that.My impression upon reading the first twenty or so pieces of his modern poems and prose was that the collection would feature outpourings of all the bits of wisdom Mr. Drake has learned throughout the years sans the lens of Tumblresque romanticism that abounds in social media's poets. I was pleasantly satisfied that, for the most part, that was indeed the case because the pretty sound of short verses never seemed to fit his voice quite right.Throughout this collection, Mr. Drake does not focus on longing and loving, nor happiness and beauty as much as he has done in the collections published prior to this. Rather, he focuses on friendship, memories, honesty, family, art, and surviving with simply written verses. He goes so far as to state what it is he craves now that the years have passed him by and the pull towards romanticism has lessened ("Manufacturing Love"). That is not to say there are no love poems here and there, but they are more of the type that you have seen him write before – more or less. The poems that are about what is listed above were the ones that truly felt alive. When reading them, it seemed he was just across the table imparting all his musings, unedited, unfiltered, and all through deliberate patience.Out of the 400+ pages of poems featured in this collection, a solid twenty poems moved me to tab them, to want to remember them. It has been about a week since I read the book yet these twenty are ones that I have gone back to reread. Among the twenty are two particular ones I would like to share.I Don't Know You AnymoreRobert M. DrakeWe are all fightingto be ourselvesin a world that tells uswho we should be.And it makes me wonderif I am in lovewith the real youor just the person youthink you are."I Don't Know You Anymore" is a poem that should be splashed across all social media. In this era, politics have to be dramatic to rake in viewers, therefore profit. Artists like actors and musicians have to be open to all options of advertising their brand to make it to a big screen or a platinum record whether they are comfortable with what that entails or not. The dangers for everyday people like you and I is that we too can feel the need to create a fake personality around coworkers, church folk, or family in order to fit in, to stand out, or to pay off. While that behavior is common in a high school setting where all students are still testing waters, when the pretending spills into adult life, that is crushing. Mr. Drake crafted a massive little verse to be a red flag, to give us all a way of looking at the subject through the eyes of people who love us. What is it like for them to hold close a mere version of you? Might you be missing someone who would love the true you by pretending?The Message I Wrote for MyselfRobert M. DrakeAnd there wasnothing left to hurt...That's how I knewit was over.And in the end,I belonged to myself,and I was finally ableto change—for me.The love I had inside medidn't belong to youor anyone I ever knew...It was all, ultimately,meant for me."The Message I Wrote for Myself" is a page of content that is polar opposite to a substantial portion of the poetry Mr. Drake has written concerning love. Whereas before his work would say something along the lines of "there's so much love in me for someone" or that he felt he had to be the support and anchor to someone else, this new piece poignantly states that it is more important to love yourself, to change yourself into who you want to be before going around to connect with someone else. This is immensely important to the generations that are still in middle school and high school—do not go around looking for a relationship or even best friends to "ground" your soul because only you can ground yourself. "Save Yourself," "Universe," and "The Things I Can't Tell Myself" are other pieces that expound on this subject.This collection further is Mr. Drake sharing his thoughts about many different themes. It cannot be summarized in a few words, and I enjoy that."Dear Mother," "This Is My Space," and "Real Is Real" are three examples of pieces that are commentary about the social media age. "People Killer" and "Violent Power" are two examples of commentary about the violence that has been going on around the world. There are also a few personal pieces to the people in his life.Overall, I recommend R.M. Drake's "Broken Flowers" collection to those that are familiar with his work and to those that are not. His style and content is slowly evolving into his best. If you never have picked up his work, this is the best collection to start with as of this year. It is the great poets of the past that used bitter reality to construct the poems that still fill classrooms and media today. I say Mr. Drake is getting there and that I greatly respect that he is branching his work out; he certainly has the potential. I look forward to the day when we may get a poem that is six or so pages long. That would be quite a wonderful work.As to those who are not keen on this new style, he has a message: "Filled In-Boxes."

If you have read and enjoyed any of his earlier poetry works: Black Butterfly, Beautiful and Damned, etc. you will love this as it is in the same style. If you haven't read any of his earlier works, I think you will enjoy it as well because he writes in such a succinct, human language. The relatability of his work always stands out to me: there is a poem in here that applies to everyone, in some form or fashion. He is, in my opinion, becoming one of the best poets in America today.

this was suppose to be a Christmas gift for me, but I couldn't wait to open it... so I've read it once and I'm packing it back up to read again after the holidays.

I felt the need to purchase Broken Flowers forever and finally did it. Im happy i did. Its impossible to leave any negative feedback for anything done by R.M. Drake. im looking forward to purchasing more of his work.

Like audio graduate school in a book. Very dense but easy to understand if you try. I've been in the sound business for over 20 years so I know my way around a sound system. He still manages to explain concepts I already understand in a way that made me see them in a new light. Plus there is a lot of next level shit that's kinda blowing my mind. Highly recommended.Great companion to Smaart.

Lots of knowledge is contained in tis book. You should have a little experience with basic physics, especially waves and electricity. This is not a book for dummies. The author keeps the information flowing and keeps explanation as brief as possible. This is a good thing due to the sheer scope of the knowledge presented.

"That is what we thought then, this is what we know now."...to borrow a phrase Bob McCarthy has used. This book is about what we know now (or should know) thanks in large part to McCarthy's work in the field. This book doesn't rehash the information found in just about every other book involving sound and acoustics. It applies that knowledge along with technical data that has been collected over the course of his career to current real world technologies, systems and situations.While various measurement tools have existed for quite some time, it has only been more recently that low cost solution (comparatively) have existed for analyzing our systems and their interaction with the environments we put them in. Now most anyone can afford to better understand what their systems are doing and why. Unfortunately the information that such tools provide is somewhat useless if you don't understand what it means, how to interpret it or how to apply it. This book doesn't teach you how to use such tools specifically so much as it addresses the reason the tools exist and how to use the information they provide to improve the listening experience and the efficiency of the systems that deliver the experience. McCarthy does this by sharing both the information that he has collected over the course of his career and most importantly, the knowledge that has been gained while compiling that information.Besides the fact that McCarthy is in a unique position of having more experience in this area than maybe anybody else, he's also a hands-on guy who knows how to teach others. Anyone that has had an opportunity to attend one of his seminar courses knows he has a knack for making complex science understandable to almost anyone. I'm living proof of that and am happy to see that his knack has translated well to a very informative and interesting to read book. Detailed color graphics along with a few related comic strips help keep it all within reach.If you use Smaart (or any other similar program), you will definitely get something out of this book whatever your experience level. Currently you won't find another book that brings this information all together with the real world experiences and insight as McCarthy has done, much less make it readable in an accessible fashion. While there maybe a handful of others who could possible write such a book with this type of applied knowledge, nobody else has. Reading this book will take you to a higher level of understanding of how sound system components react with one another as well as the acoustic environments that they exist within.While McCarthy points out in the book that there used to be a division of art and science when it came to thinking how to evaluating sound system performance, the number of mixing engineers running Smaart @ theMIXsite is an indication that everyone is catching on that art and science go hand in hand. While Michelangelo was a artist, he studied science as well and it was the combination of his two disciplines that empowered him to create his many masterpieces.Sound Systems: Design and Optimization is a study of how the paint hits the canvas and should be of interest to artist and engineers in the field of sound reinforcement.

Required reading for anyone who runs sound from home AV installers to touring engineers. He describes rather complex theory with out getting overly technical. Much better than the Yamaha and other old school books.

Tons of theoretical information and most importantly the Practical application of the theory. The author is an experienced sound engineer and reveals experience based advice on how best to deal with most common situations faced by sound engineers installing permanent and performance (concerts, theatre) systems.

If you really want to know how to tune sound systems and the science behind it this is your book. Not for the person who wants the answer in a 50 pages. Great graphics explaining how sound, frequency, speaker position, phase, etc interact with each other to make the system or break the system.

This was my favorite book as a child and I wanted to share it with my 10-month-old son. It's a great story for kids and every illustration is unique with many different and interesting aspects. The overall material quality, however; is poor. I don't remember that my childhood book was as poorly-made as this one. The trademark gold foil spine is very thin and was peeling off when it arrived. The almost transparently thin pages protrude outside the cheap cardboard covers and the print on some pages is so offset that it almost looks as if the image was meant to be seen through 3D glasses. It's disappointing that an American treasure like Little Golden Books has become a victim of such low-grade manufacturing.

I was read the 1930 edition as a child (in the early 50's) and that is the edition I thought I was getting. I researched the difference in the 1954 edition as well as the other newer editions. Even though a few words from the 1930 edition may be 'politically incorrect' now and it was black and white, It is still my favorite. But if you are looking for colored graphics and a somewhat changed story I guess this book maybe for you.

I can't give it any more than 3 stars due to the poor quality of the book. I had requested a replacement when the book arrived with the binding peeling a bit and the front and back covers were cut slightly smaller than the pages inside so the pages actually stick out. Plus, with the way the book is bind, the pages were difficult to turn because you're not able to open the book fully. I thought I just happened to have received a manufacturer's defect.The replacement arrived and it was the same, except the binding wasn't peeling. This is one book I should have just purchased as an e-Book since Random House does not seem to want to bother putting much effort into the paper version.

My almost-2-year-old son asks for this over and over. He calls it "aboose". I was excited that he liked it because I remember my mom reading it to me and my younger siblings as a kid. My son always puts his hands up in the air and says "yay!" for the caboose on the second-to-last page; it's very cute. I also love how much detail goes into each illustration. So many new books today have very minimal illustration, but this book has so much, it's easy to point out new and different things each time we go through it. We especially love all the different animals on each page, so he is learning animals and animal sounds as well as a host of other vocabulary words. Glad I bought it! :)

The original edition of The Little Red Caboose was written and illustrated for Golden Books, which at the time was a children's program started by Simon and Schuster, the original copyright holder. Simon and Schuster is the name that appears on the title page, below those of the author, Marian Potter, and artist, Tibor Gergely, on the edition published and printed in 1953. At that time, Western Printing Company was the lithographer and printer, and another partner, Artists and Writers Guild, Inc. was also mentioned on the copyright page. All were in New York, except for Western Printing, which was in Racine, Wisconsin. In later printings we see that Simon and Schuster apparently spun off Golden Books to Western, which had become Western Publishing, still in Racine, while Golden Books remained in New York. The back cover (original edition) has pictures of other books for young people by Simon and Schuster, not the cartoon characters associated with Golden Books.Whew! The reason I mention all of this is because this review is for the first edition of The Little Red Caboose. It's hard to identify these if you do not know what to look for. Western Publishing was not the original copyright holder in 1953.Now for the book itself. Anyone who is familiar with children's books from the 1950s will be familiar with the artwork of Tibor Gergely, who painted worlds behind the story, worlds that young, curious eyes can never get enough of. Every aspect of life you can think of that might be seen from the railroad tracks of the book's subject, a caboose on a freight train, is visible through the course of the story in Gergely's paintings. Cityscapes, country life, school busses, fruit stands, gas stations, boats, circuses and their animals, Native American tribes with tepees, and people on horseback, in cars, on bicycles, hiking, climbing, paddling, flying kites, hay wagons, going to school, fishing, and much more, are all represented on the pages. But the center of attraction in this story is the freight train.The freight trains of the 1940s and early 1950s were quite different from what we see today. They were pulled by giant, steel locomotives puffing clouds of steam and smoke, and the watch-works of rods, pistons, levers, wheels, and counterweights were all visible, all moving in incredible synchrony, seeming alive and friendly at slow speeds and quite terrifying at high speeds. This was the lore of the steam locomotive, which holds the people's attention and imagination at it passes. the freight cars each had their own appeal, too. Colorful and interestingly shaped, their contents dictated their form, pregnant with stories about the industries that depended on them. But the last car on the train was always the little red caboose, and by the time it came along people were turning away, going about their day, or ready to get on across the road. The caboose was sad, because nobody seemed to stay to say hello to it. We all feel that way from time to time; ignored, rejected, lonely and sad, and rare is the child who doesn't know those feelings first-hand.This is the story of what happened one day when the mountain was too great, the locomotive failed, and the little red caboose saved the train until help could come. The help came in the form of two big black locomotives that steamed up from behind and helped push the train over the mountains. That's exactly the way real railroads work: in mountainous regions they [still, even today] have helper locomotives that push the train over the top, then they part ways. The helpers go back to the bottom and wait for the next train. This story looks very much like the railroads of Pennsylvania, whose namesake railroad had massive engines that kept the trains moving briskly over the Allegheny summit at Gallitzin.So, there's a lot of interesting knowledge for young eyes to glean from the pages of this book. The book functions as a subconscious teacher about the world; that's what you get from Tibor Gergely's paintings while the story itself goes by in parallel, but not necessarily dominating the scene. Oh, the climactical moments are there in the paintings, too. You see the astonishment in the faces of the watchers, and somehow you see fear in the train and determination in the little red caboose. Such is the Gergely's magic, bringing inanimate objects to life without the need for faces and anthropomorphizing, but instead with implied action. Never mind that the world of 1953 looked different. It's still a world we recognize, and we relate to everything in it, because the activities and actions are familiar.Thus as we see the caboose hard at work, we instinctively know what it's doing as the story goes:"And he slammed on his brakes.And he held tight to the tracks.And he kept that trainfrom sliding down the mountain."And in the background we see the big engines coming up the mountain to take over from the struggling caboose still holding the train tightly to the rails. The Caboose is now a hero, and the people (and animals) stay and wave when it passes.It was one of my favorites as a child, and when I read it to children who are close enough to see the pictures, they love it, too. The story is over 60 years old, and yet it's as fresh as the day Simon and Schuster decided to create a line of children's books, with guidance from Columbia University, and called it Golden Books.

Another in a long line of "Little Golden Book" series for young children. This was bought as a gift and we hope it provides a good base for young ones who first need pictures to understand the story and a willing parent to read to them, and then later a great tool for them as they too learn to read. Well laid out, easy to read and photos are wonderful. I had this book as a child and loved it, so glad to see that it remains a classic even in today's technology driven world.

When I ordered an embroidered Christmas stocking with a red train on it for my grandson, I knew I had to get this classic golden book to go along. It's a story I remember from my own childhood. I enjoyed reading it to my daughter and can't wait to read it to my grandson. What little boy doesn't love trains?

This book is getting a lot of action around here. It's definitely a favorite. The story is fun to read to them, but the illustrations are even more fun to talk about. I enjoy it as much as my toddler grandchildren.

When I went to college I didn't play College Soccer, I played College Ice Hockey. My son is 12 and my daughter is 9 so they are not potentially going to play college soccer for several more years (if at all). When I bought this book I was not sure I'd be able to relate and enjoy it as much as Dan Blank's Soccer iQ volumes. Man was I wrong. Rookie was not what I expected, it's way better and not just for soccer players, it's for any type of athlete in my opinion. This book provides great advice on how to compete with peers (with respect and courage), earn a spot for yourself on the "starters roster" and also "playing time". I believe this book would also be a great read for high school athletes who attend schools where there are preseason tryouts and competition to "make the team". For me this book was a fun read and contains advice that not only pertains on the field but to all other aspects of student athlete life, like how to handle their celebrity like status within their own school bubble.Highly recommend.

I have read all of Dan’s books and I love them all!! This one is no different. And even though it’s about the college rookie year, there is still plenty of information that hold true for any age level.As a girls soccer coach myself, I can honestly say that Dan’s insight on the female athlete is spot on! Every girls coach in any sport should invest in all of his books right now. Save yourself some time, add them all to your cart right now and then enjoy the ride 😁 They are quick reads with witty humor and a genuine love for the game and the athletes 💖

I can’t wait to use some if these points as a way to help prepare my players fir their collegiate careers. The points in this book cover a lot of ground. And I think this should be required reading for any players, prior to getting in the bus, plane or car for the trip to their first preseason practice.

I bought the author's two Soccer IQ books. I decided to buy this to give to a soon to be rookie college soccer player. Browsed thorough Rookie and find it similarly good easy read as his Soccer IQ books. Among other things, this book discussed first impressions, earning trust and playing time, and understanding how winning games to maintain his/her job is the coach's priority. I think many of the author's advice could apply to other college sports and even to high school sports and would buy this again for my own kids or to give as a gift.

Well written advise, read this book with my twin sons who will both be student athletes ( soccer) next year in college. They were hesitant at first since they do not love to read. However, they quickly became engaged and were sharing insights and parts they liked. They have many take aways. I enjoyed the conversations it prompted as well. I would highly recommend this book to student athletes and their parents as well. I have told some of my soccer parent friends and will continue to do so.

Essential reading for competitive players and their parents. Useful for a very wide variety of sports not just soccer. Don't wait until you are headed for college either. This advice is extremely valuable for any and all players in competitive sports programs - in clubs, entering freshman year of HS or college. Concise and effective. Thank you very much Dan Blank!

As with all of Dan Blank's books this was exceptionally well written, however, I felt their was one glaring aspect that was not covered enough. College soccer is based on the Academics-Athletics-Social pyramid. This book covered the athletics and social aspects: winning a spot on the team and fitting into the team better than I anticipated. His advice in these areas is exceptional as always. That being said, I was disappointed with the lack of advice on the student part of being a "student athlete". Although he does mention study hall, tutors and has one chapter on academics I just don't believe the book had enough of it to be considered a comprehensive guide, nothing will see you off a team faster that academic ineligibility. That concept may not be foreign to former high school players, but former club players may not anticipate the need for good grades and academic recognition.

Excellent perspective that will help our daughter immeasurably. I was recommended to us by NCSA recruiting service in Chicago, it's truly a must read for an incoming freshman player AND great for parents too. I have recommended it to several other parents...Our daughter seems to be taking it all in and is preparing diligently for that first two weeks of training that Dan Blank talks about for new players. I must admit, I hated this book when I had to read it in college. However, over the summer my 14-year-old niece decided to read it as part of a her summer reading project so I decided to order this book and read it along with her. I guess I am one of those people who needed a decade or two of life to really appreciate the themes and ideas explored in this book as my stance has changed - I really enjoy this book and am glad I gave it another chance. My niece really enjoys it too save for one issue: many of the books she now has to read at school she views as "long winded garbage," perhaps Fitzgerald has set the bar too high for some modern-day writers.All in all, if you are looking for a relatively quick read that is drenched in meaning, or a relatively quick read about a romance gone awry, then this book is for you. Though you might want to keep a link to Cliffsnotes available if you want to explore every last drip of meaning from this book.

I loved this book and read it in one go. It is amazingly written and so wonderfully narrated you can't help getting drawn into the drama enfolding within the book.Its only when you read the book that you realize why the book is fascinating and a favourite of many people.

Katherine Epstein’s new book “Torpedo: Inventing the Military-Industrial Complex in the United States and Great Britain” is about two things. First, it’s about the torpedo, including both the struggles that several companies went through in the United States and the United Kingdom in manufacturing early torpedoes, and the doctrinal turmoil that the development of the torpedo generated in both the United States Navy and the Royal Navy.Second, Torpedo is about the development of the legal, bureaucratic, and technical foundations of the modern military industrial complex. Building on the work of other theorists, Epstein argues that the real foundations of the MIC lay in naval procurement at the end of the nineteenth century. The industrial demands on naval warfare, both in terms of capital intensive production and capital intensive research, required a large peace-time commitment on the part of the government. The state and private industry could equip armies much more quickly than they could equip navies or (eventually) air forces.This meant developing novel forms of public-private interaction. In particular, to acquire advanced technology the state could no longer rely on private firms using their own capital to develop off-the-shelf products that the military could choose to purchase. The capital requirement of innovation, combined with the fact that defense firms had a limited number of customers, meant that firms would only pursue innovation if assured that their investment would pay off. This meant that the state would have to pre-emptively invest in private innovation, whether through direct grants or through guaranteed purchase contracts.This, in turn, created a complex set of intellectual property problems. The private firms that developed the torpedoes wanted to own the intellectual property associated with that technology, or at least to be fairly compensated for their investment. This meant selling either to the United States or to some foreign government. The government, on the other hand, felt that its investment in the projects meant that it should share (at least) in the ownership of the intellectual property. The government also worried about the export of advanced technology and advanced intellectual property to foreign buyers. This set the stage for brutal IP litigation between the US government and several private firms, both foreign and domestic. That the government and the firms needed each other served to make the fighting even more vicious.The US systems of intellectual property and export control were unprepared for this development. The US tried to rely on the 1799 Logan Act (meant to prevent private individuals from conducting US foreign policy) in order to prevent US firms from exporting torpedoes abroad. Similarly, US patent law struggled with the quandaries associated with joint public-private development of IP. In the United Kingdom, which already had a system of export controls and secret patents, this process ran far more smoothly.On the organizational and doctrinal side, Epstein points out that while we would expect the USN, as the smaller and less tradition-bound of the two navies, would focus on a “disruptive” innovation like the torpedo, in reality the Royal Navy pushed farther and faster on torpedo doctrine and technology than any of its competitors. In contrast to the hidebound institution often depicted in popular history, the early 1900s were a period of intellectual ferment in the RN, with questions of fleet design and ship construction hotly debated between several factions. The torpedo, understood by many as a weapon with war-winning potential, loomed large for most of these factions.The RN also had better access to research and training resources than the USN, which allowed it both to formulate doctrine more effectively, and to feed experiential knowledge back into the system of technology development. Consequently, Epstein argues that the conventional understanding of the relationship between disruptive military innovation and established military power is wrong; the most advanced military organizations typically have the greatest means not only to pursue disruptive innovation, but also to evaluate the implications of such innovation.This is a good book; it’s an interesting book, and it breaks new ground on the role of intellectual property law and the defense industry while also contributing to the literature on military organizations and innovation. But this book ends up being about two different things; the development of naval doctrine in the early twentieth century in the RN and the USN, and the development of modern intellectual property law. There are some people that are interested in both of these things (me!), but that number is extremely limited. Many readers are going to find particular parts of the story intensely interesting, but will skip some of the other chapters. For my own part, I found the intellectual property angle much more interesting than the naval doctrine angle, although that’s likely because of the nature of my current project.I can heartily recommend Torpedo, and indeed I suspect that scholars of the history of the modern military industrial complex will find it indispensible. At the same time, the transition between the two foci will be a struggle for a lot of readers.

Excellent book detailing the complexities of developing a weapon between the Private sector and the Gov't. A 'must read' book.

The author of this book took the time to do much research and it shows. I feel this is a must read book for military historians who want to know all there is to know about the torpedo.

This should be required reading. A great way to understand how the U.S. government got to be the way that it is, especially in the way it spends money in defense and technology.

Written by an author with excellent editing skills, this is a book in search of a reason for existence. If you are looking for an adequate history of the automobile torpedo, pass this one by. The author gets hung up on some of the patent disputes on these state of the art cruise missiles, and never lets go.There are sone diagrams of the Whitehead weapon, and there is more than a little history of the ealry production of the things by firms like Bliss, but that doesn't make up for the lack of historic context, and the poorly structured miilitary history included.For a better reference source, check out the more recent book fron the Naval Institute Press on the topic. Still not perfect, but a lot more comprehensive, and costing in the same range.Nice cover photo, however...

VERY IMPORTANT RISK MANAGEMENT , QC DESIGN ISSUES RE THE US/USN DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, TESTING OF TORPEDOES FROM INCEPTION UP TO AND INDLUDING WW II WHERE THEY STILL HAD A 50% FAILURE RATE, THUS JEOPARDIZING THEIR SHIP'S CREW COMPLEMENT SAFETY. GERMAN TORPEDOES UTILIZED A PROXIMITY FUESE, DESIGNED TO ACTIVATE WHEN THE TORPEDO WAS NOT FIRED AGAINST THE HULL OF THE SHIP BUT UNDER THE SHIP, SO THAT THE CONNETIC ENERGY OF THE TORPEDOE'S EXPLOSIION'S SHOCK WAVES THEN BROKE THE KEEL OR THE BACK OF THE SHIP.

Excellent discussion of early torpedo development in the US and UK. The focus of the book is on the difficulties encountered in dealing with the intellectual property ownership when government and private industry are working together. Many of those issues can still be found in defense contracting. Just look at the F22 and F35 developments to see modern examples of broken defense procurement systems.From a technology standpoint, the book did a nice job describing the early issues with propulsion, gyros, and angle control. My personal interest is in submarine warfare during WW2. While this book does not cover the WW2 time frame, it does a very good job describing the problems with setting up the industrial infrastructure needed to build state-of-the-art torpedoes. These problems led to the Torpedo Mark 14 debacle during WW2 - torpedoes built that wouldn't explode, exploded before hitting their targets, and ran too deep to hit their targets.

Torpedo is a remarkable look at the military-industrial complex in the US and Great Britain. Well researched and accessibly written, the book provides an outstanding understanding of this complex topic. Highly recommended!
